Patriarch Porfirije Hosts 1,200 Children with OUR SERBS President Kathy Fanslow

The annual Nativity Feast event, co-hosted by Patriarch Porfirije and OUR SERBS, brought together 1,200 in the crypt of the magnificent St. Sava Cathedral. This heartfelt evening was filled with joy, hope, and the true spirit of Christmas, creating a cherished atmosphere for all in attendance.

The program included uplifting greetings and heartfelt words from Patriarch Porfirije, who reminded everyone of the vital role love plays in nurturing children. He encouraged parents and family members to embrace their roles with care, emphasizing the profound impact they have on their children’s lives. His message resonated deeply, moving many to tears as they witnessed their children receiving gifts they could not otherwise afford. The Patriarch also reminded everyone the importance of Christ at this time and that he came to us as a child, a baby with an important message to all of us.

This extraordinary evening was a celebration of love and community, where clergy, families, and guests came together to feel seen, valued, and supported. It was a reminder that during the most challenging times, someone cares enough to bring joy and hope to those in need—especially during a season that holds so much significance for children.
