Diocese of Niš Publishes “Good Samaritan” Bulletin Highlighting the 2024 Beginning Collaboration with “Our Serbs”

The Diocese of Niš has recently released its “Good Samaritan” bulletin, which highlights the ongoing collaboration with the organization “Our Serbs” in addressing urgent housing needs in the region. This partnership, which focuses on improving living conditions for those facing extreme poverty, has been making significant strides, with plans to continue well into the future.

One of the key areas of focus for this joint effort is the village of Medveđa, a community where living conditions have long been below the most basic standards. Thanks to the concerted efforts of both the Diocese and “Our Serbs,” homes are being built at an accelerated pace, offering hope and dignity to families who need it most.

A momentous occasion marked this collaboration when Bishop Arsenije of Niš met with Kathy Fanslow, President of “Our Serbs,” to formally sign an agreement solidifying their partnership. The event also served as a celebration of the progress made and a commitment to continuing the work that has already brought relief to many.

In her remarks, President Kathy Fanslow expressed heartfelt gratitude to the generous donors whose support has made this vital work possible. Bishop Arsenije also extended his thanks to both “Our Serbs” and the donors, emphasizing the transformative impact of this collaboration in the lives of those in need.

This partnership exemplifies the power of faith-based organizations and charitable organizations efforts to make a lasting difference, and the Diocese of Niš remains dedicated to improving the quality of life in the region through continued cooperation with “Our Serbs.”
